Ginger Masala Tea Recipe | Cutting Chai | Perfect Tea at home

A steaming cup of Ginger Masala Tea.

Tea is a globally loved beverage. It comes in various types, including black, green, white, and herbal, each offering distinct flavors and aromas.

Ginger Masala Tea, also known as “Chai” in many parts of the world, is famous for its robust and aromatic blend of spices. This variation adds the warmth of ginger and a mix of spices to the traditional tea, creating a comforting and invigorating experience.

Ginger Masala Tea is widely consumed in South Asian countries, including India, where it is an integral part of daily life. It has gained popularity worldwide, with enthusiasts appreciating it’s taste and health benefits.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tea mug water
  • 1/2 tea mug milk
  • 2 tablespoons tea 
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon tea masala
  • 1-2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)

 

Step 1: Boiling water

  • In a saucepan, boil 1 tea mug water

 

Step 2: Adding Tea, Sugar and Tea masala

  • Once the water starts getting warm add 2 tablespoon tea and 2 tablespoon sugar (adjust to taste)
  • Add 1 table spoon tea masala and let it boil

 

Step 3: Adding Milk and Sugar

  • Pour in 1 mug of milk into the tea base.
  • Continue to simmer until the tea is well-blended
  • Now add the ginger and let the tea simmer.

 

Step 4: Straining and Serving

  • Strain the Ginger Masala Tea into cup.
  • Serve hot with some snacks
