Aloo Pyaaz Sabji Recipe | Make Aloo Pyaaz Curry at home

What is Aloo Pyaaz Tomato Sabji?

Aloo Pyaaz Tomato Sabji is a popular North Indian vegetable dish made with a combination of potatoes, onions, and tomatoes. This sabji is known for its simplicity and rich taste, making it a household favorite. You can enjoy it with roti or rice.

Here is a very simple recipe which is quick to make and healthy as well ( We will cook this using very less oil). We will be using pressure cooker to cook this sabji.

Ingredients: (Serves 2 people)

  • 2 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 large onion, Cut into medium pieces 
  • 1 small tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 green chilli, cut into 4 pieces 
  • 1/4 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 glass of water (150ml)
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Step 1: 

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  • Add green chilli pieces 
  • Add onion, potato and ginger garlic paste. Mix it well and cook it until the raw ginger garlic smell disappears.
  • Add tomato 

Step 2:

  • Add red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt. Mix well.
  • Add small glass of water ( about 150ML)
  • Mix well

Step 3:

  • Close the pressure cooker lid and cook for 4-5 whistles 

Step 4: 

  • Open the cooker and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

Step 5:

  • Aloo Pyaaz Tomato Sabji is ready to be served. Enjoy it hot with roti/ paratha or rice.
